Course Name : Introductory to I-Ching ( ©ö¸g )
The Law of Nature. This ancient Chinese Book of the Changes teaches how nature unfolds itself, how matters and events unfold in accordance with the Law of Nature. It is the foundation of all predictive techniques used in China, including Fenshui, Bazi, Ziwei, and it is also the theoretical basis used to attain spiritual reunification described in Daoism.
What is I-Ching ?
I-Ching is the Book of Changes. It describes various steps of the cycle of life. It is also used as a guide to decisions that maybe made at a juncture where the ¡§best¡¨outcome is desired. Because it details how life evolves, it is also applied by the Chinese on how matters, events, course of battle, tangible and intangible properties, will evolve or unfold or flow as nature would have it. Humankind¡¦s oldest book is the I-Ching, the Book of Change, which interestingly enough, remains unchanged for 4 thousand years.
What will I learn?
This course covers the history of I-Ching, the contributors to its theory and applications. The yin and yang, the trigrams, the hexagrams, and their individual meanings. Then the practical part of applying it¡Ghow it is applied in Chinese Medicine, how it is applied to fate-consultation, how it is applied in Fenshui, how it is applied to ad-hoc queries, how it has affected the way Chinese people has evolved.
What can I do with it ?
At the end of this introductory course, you will be able to cast coins as a way of seeking guidance to queries at hand, and be able to interpret the meanings contained therein. You will grow to appreciate how life unfolds and evolves in its rhythmic cycles, and understand the ¡¥natural¡¦ course of how matters and events manifest themselves.
What long is this course ?
This course is 12 weeks long, and 3 hours per weekend.
